  • MANU NATURAL 3D/2N

    Day 01:Manú Reserve (San Pedro).
    Exit of Cusco city very early in the morning in one of our specially vehicles equipped for the route. We will cross interesting interandean valleys and picturesque rural communities visiting the Pre-Inca Tombs "Chullpas" of Ninamarca. Around half-day we will go by Paucartambo, typical colonial town of lot of importance in that time and that still preserve their colonial style. Continuing the trip we will ascend until the Step of Acjanacu to 3,850 m.o.s.l. From here we begin the descent going by the Forest of Clouds, very rich area in endemic species as the Bear of Glasses, Cockerel of the Rocks, orchids, bromelias, ferns, etc. among other where we will spend our first night comfortably installed outdoors in our platform "San Pedro."

    Day 02: Manú Reserve (Erika Reserves).
    Very early we will be able to appreciate the interesting Dance of Retinue of the Cockerel of the Rocks (gallito de las Rocas), National bird of Peru who possesses an attractive plumage of very intense color red-orange, comfortably installed in a platform of called observation "Lek". after having breakfast we continue in our bus, crossing the high forest, arriving to the town of Pilcopata*, then to continue toward the port of Atalaya (700 m.o.s.l), located beside the river High Madre de Dios, place where our boat with motor outside of overboard, we will approach the craft that is loaded with the necessary team for the trip, beginning this way our descent for the river where we will be able to observe the enormous diversity of existent birds, as blue, vultures, cormoranes, etc. Until arriving to our Private Reservation "Erika" where we will spend the following 2 nights. Short recognition walk for the surroundings.

    * Optional: Descent in mountain bicycle from our Tambo San Pedro (1700 m.o.s.l) of the Cloudy Forest to Pilcopata - High Forest (700 m.o.s.l)

    * Optional: From the town of Pilcopata we will travel approx. 3 hours by canoe (class II and III) for the tropical rivers of Kosñipata and High Madre de Dios, going by the spectacular Puts of Koñeq where we will stop to enjoy the landscape and of a shower in their crystalline waters. It will continue until arriving to our Private Reservation "Erika".

    Day 03: Reserva Manú (Cusco).
    Return to Cuzco.

    Day 03: Reserva Manu (High Forest).
    Erika is located in Transitional Area between High Forest and Low Forest (600 m.o.s.l. - 1,550 m.o.s.l), the different altitudes give a place to diverse habitats, explaining this way the high diversity of wild life of the surroundings. After having breakfast, we will approach our craft in which will navigate for 5 minutes to cross the river High Madre de Dios and to walk approximately for 30 minutes for an interesting path to observe and to talk about the interesting flora as the sensitive plants, heliconias, fruit-bearing plantations, etc. until arriving at the lagoon of Machuwasi where we will install the telescope to observe birds like real heron, tucanetas, carpenter crestirojo, bienteveos, cardinal, etc.

    Day 04: Reserva Manu (Cusco).
    Return to Cuzco.

    Day 05: Reserva Manu (Cusco).
    After having breakfast, we will approach our craft boat in which we will navigate for 10 minutes to go to the Collpa, a loamy wall of the river where the different species of parrots like the parrot blue head, parakeet of white eye and possibly to the macaw Maracano ( Plows severe) among others they go down every morning to extract and to lick clay pieces that contain the necessary minerals for their dietary balance. When concluding this daily activity, we will continue in the boat toward the Port of Atalaya, where a bus waits for us that will take us to the city of Cusco, arriving to this at night.     TAMBOPATA EXPRESSIVE 5D/4N

    Day 01: Tambopata (Heath)
    Reception and transfer from the airport of Puerto Maldonado to the port located in the River Madre de Dios. Here we will approach a motor boat to make approximately a trip of 4 and a half hours until arriving at the River. During the itinerary we will navigate for the river Madre de Dios with address to the boundary between Peru and Bolivia.Arriving at the river Heath, the natural boundary between Peru and Bolivia, we will continue in the same boat or we will change to some smaller boats to go to the Lodging. During the itinerary we will enjoy an appetizing cold lunch. The Heath River Wildlife Center is located in the Bolivian side of the boundary. PLEASE NOT TO FORGET THAT IT IS IMPORTANT TO TAKE THE PASSPORT FOR THIS TRIP. When we will arrive we will try a delicious drink of welcome elaborated with fruits of the area. After the dinner we will explore the forest with our lanterns listening the sounds of the forest. Night of Hotel in the Lodge.

    Day 02: Tambopata (Heath)
    Early in the morning we will approach our canoe to navigate up in Heath river going to an interesting collpa of parrots and Macaws. The trip can last among 10 to 15 minutes. Generally during the itinerary you can appreciate birds that come out to find their foods and one or two families of Capibaras in the banks of the river. The capibaras is the biggest rodents in the world the weighing is about 55 kilograms approximately and they are kindred giant of the guinea pig, at the same time they are quite photogenic.To observe the collpa we have a specially designed floating hiding place. In the hiding place a breakfast will be served while we admire the natural show that begins with the arrival of the small parrots of color esmerald green and electric blue, later on the big macaws arrived, those of red and green color.

    The birds arrive to the collpa to eat the clay with the objective of desintoxication of some veined or hallucinogenic seeds that they have eaten. This allows the visitor to take interesting pictures of big concentrations of macaws In the months of May and June all the collpas of macaws and parrots of the south of Peru are less active, it is important to keep in mind this detail if you are specially interested in photographing these birds. After the beautiful exhibition, we will return to the housing where our native guide will drive us for a walk etno-botany through the forest, explaining of how the native ESE Ejas of the area uses many of the trees and plants for diverse purposes as natural medicines and as a raw material for their arches, arrows and, also, in the construction of its housings. After lunch a brief rest, we will walk toward the Pampas of the Heath (savanna like the one that there is in África) that is an ecosystem that contrasts with the dense Forest. Return to the Lodging and during the dinner we will be able to talk with our guide about the traditions and legends of the area. Night of Hotel in the Lodge.

    Day 03: Tambopata (Sandoval Lodge)
    One more time we get up very early for a second visit to the Collpa of Macaws. Then we will return to the lodging to pick up our suitcases and to begin our trip toward the Sandoval Lake Lodge, located beside the lake Sandoval considered by the forest specialists like some of the most beautiful lakes and attractiveness of the Peruvian forest. A cold lunch is included for the journey. Later a trip in boat for the river Heath in first place and then the River Madre de Dios, we will arrive to the beginning of a trail where a walk will be made from 45 to 50 minutes toward a narrow channel where we will approach a small canoe that will drive us toward the Lake Sandoval. Then a catamaran will be aboarded or we will continue in the same canoe toward the Sandoval Lake Lodge. In the itinerary we will observe the famous aguajales with palms where specially in the afternoon the macaws arrive to spend the night or to remain in their nests. At night we will have dinner and we will rest in our comfortable rooms with view to the lake. Spend the Night in the Lodge.

    Day 04: Tambopata (Lake Sandoval)
    Early in the morning we will wake up to visit the Lake Sandoval. One will be able to observe the birds that leave to find food, and with some luck, to a family of 9 river wolves. All this species is knewn that are in extinction danger. The first hours in the morning is without a doubt, the best moment to see fauna and to obtain good photographic picturest of the wolves in search of the fish, their main food. We return to the housing to have breakfast and for those with energy will walk for the trails explaining on the characteristics of the forest and medicinal uses of some plants of the place. After lunch, brief time to rest and to get ready to visit the east part of the lake where we will appreciate one or more than the five species of monkeys that live in the area highlighting the Monkey Capuchín. Return to the housing to Have dinner and, later on a new visit to the Lake to see the Black caymen, well-known as the strangest in the Amazonía Night of Hotel in the Lodge.

    Day 05: Tambopata (Cusco)
